Ens vénen a visitar des d’Espanya!Spanish friends came to visit us!

La setmana passada vam tenir donant tombs per Taipei al Xavi i la Pili. Quan faltava poc per marxar cap a Taiwan vam anar al seu casament. És la primera visita que tenim des de que van marxar els pares de l’Anna el passat mes de maig.

Després de la meva visita fugaç a Madrid durant el tour europeu de l’Octubre passat, en Xavi i la Pili es van acabar de convèncer per venir cap a Taipei (que són més de 10700 km!). Abans d’aterrar a Taipei, i per acabar de fer el recorregut una mica més llarg, van fer una parada a Bangkok on es van estar-hi prop d’una setmana.

Com que aquests dies de Desembre encara tenim els dos pisos, els vam donar les claus de l’antic pis i així van poder dormir tranquils.

Ens han dit que s’ho han passat molt bé per aquí. Vam intentar ser bons hostes i els vam portar a donar tombs: Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial, Ximending (que van repetir un parell de cops), Beitou als hot-springs, excursió amb bici fins a Danshui (quasi 30km), Shilin night market, 101 i és clar… menjar, menjar, menjar … que per alguna cosa ja som mig taiwanesos nosaltres :)

Qui s’anima a seguir els passos del Xavi i la Pili? :)Last week we had Xavi and Pili around Taipei. Shortly before we left to Taiwan we went to their wedding. They are the first visit we have since Anna’s parents left (last May)

After my quick visit to Madrid during the European tour (last October), Xavi and Pili were convinced to come to Taipei (more than 10700 km away!). Before landing at Taipei, and just to make the tour a little bit longer, they did a stop-over in Bangkok for almost a week.

As during December we still have two flats we could give the keys of the old flat for them.

They told us that had a lot of fun at Taipei. We tried to be good hosts and took them to various Taipei highlights: Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial, Ximending (they loved it and returned it twice), Beitou to enjoy hot-springs, bike trip from Taipei to Danshui (almost 30km), Shilin night market, Taipei 101 and of course… eat, eat, eat… we need to demonstrate that we are half Taiwanese already :)
