Com que jo he renovat el meu contract i l’Anna ha aconseguit feina hem decidit allargar l’estada a Taipei una temporada més. El lloguer del nostre pis és d’un any amb el que vam decidir veure si podiem trobar alguna cosa més barateta.

Ens agrada la zona de Tapiei on hem estat vivint (prop del mercat nocturn de Shida i la linia Danshui/Xindian del metro). Amb aquestes premises i un rang de preus al cap vam començar a explorar el mercat, sobretot fent servir aquesta web.

L’opció de lloguer és força popular a Taiwan, sobretot a Taipei, ja que els preus de les cases estan disparats fins a nivells absurds. Hi ha diversos articles i editorials de diaris que alerten sobre la bombolla immobiliaria. El record de preu fins al moment és d’uns 15.000€/m2. La situació recorda molt al que es va viure a Espanya abans de l’esclat de la bombolla amb preus inflats i credits a molt baix interés (entre l’1%-2% aquí). El govern ha intentat control.lar la situació però sense èxit per ara.

Jo personalment sempre m’he inclinat per lloguer i no per la compra, i estic molt content de la meva decisió. Us recomano llegir aquesta entrevista a Jesus Encinar (fundador de Idealista.com) que ha decidit comprar-se el seu primer pis als 40 anys.

Tornant al tema principal :) vàrem visitar 3 pisos més aviat petits i la nostra tria va ser el 4rt. En molts aspectes el pis recorda al pis que l’Anna i jo vam llogar al carrer Ventallò a Barcelona. És un espai únic molt ampli on es comparteix cuina, sala d’estar i (en el cas de Taipei) dormitori. També tenim una terrasseta i un petit balcó. És un quart sense ascensor. Mireu les fotos!

Aquesta és la meva sisena casa en 10 anys (1 a Mataró, 3 a Barcelona i 2 a Taipei) i al vuitena per l’Anna (2 a Barcelona, 1 a la Reunión, 1 a Amiens, 2 a Clermont-Ferrand i 2 a Taipei). Encara no arribem al record de la Marta Cabot :) però viure a diverses cases et dóna l’oportunitat de veure el que resulta més important per a tu en una casa.

Ens hem canviat de pis el 5 de Desembre, just un any després de buidar el pis al carrer Ventalló.. Encara que mirem de no acumular massa trastos encara vam haver d’invertir tot el dia en el canvi de pis. La part més curiosa va ser fer servir taxis per la mundança (uns 4 o 5 viatges en total).

Pels que heu tingut paciència de llegir l’article fins aquí… un petit secret… tenim un projector al pis! :)

.As I renewed my contract and Anna got a job, we have decided to stay some more time in Taipei. Our flat rental was for one year and we decided to look around for cheaper options.

We like the area of Taipei where we have been living so far (close to Shida night market and Danshui/Xindian MRT line), so with this premise and a price range in mind we started checking the market mostly using this web.

Renting is becoming a very popular option, specially in Taipei city, as the price of the households is Taiwan is really high with a lot of articles and newspapers editorials alerting about a real-state bubble. The recent record high price was set at NT$2.06 million per ping (3.3m2), around 15.000€ per m2. The situation looks very much the same as in Spain before the bubble exploded with absurdly expensive flats and very cheap loans (around 1%-2% interest only). The government is trying to stop speculation but with little success so far.

I have always favored renting over buying and I am happy with my personal choice. I recommend to read this interesting interview to Jesus Encinar (founder of Idealista.com) when he recently decided to buy a flat.

Back to the topic :). We visited 3 small flats but our choice was the 4th one. It is very similar to the flat we Anna and I rented at Ventalló street. A very large space sharing kitchen, living room and (in the case of Taipei) bedroom. It also has a medium sized terrace and a small balcony. It is a 4th floor (5th floor according the Taiwanese way of counting floors) with no elevator. Check it out!

We have actually moved in to the new flat on December 5th, exactly one year since we moved out from the flat at Ventalló street. Although we try not to accumulate too much stuff we still spent the whole day to change flat. The funny bit is that we used taxis (couple of them) to carry the stuff between the old and the new flat.
