Sempre que podem intentem fer excursions curtes prop de Taipei, així quan vingueu a visitar-nos ja sabrem on portar-vos i com arribar-hi :)

Un dels llocs famosos i recomenats prop de Taipei és Yehliu (es llegeix «ieliou»), sobretot conegut pel Geopark.

Quan van venir els pares de l’Anna per Taipei vam intentar anar al Geopark com a part d’una excursió per la costa nord… però ens vam pedre pel camí i vam arribar-hi tard. Teniem l’espineta clavada i vam investigar com arribar al Geopark directament des de Taipei. És molt fàcil ja que hi ha autobusos de l’empresa Kuo Kuang directes que surten des de la sortida 1 del metro de Zhongxiao Fuxing.

En aquesta mena de park hi ha roques erosionades per l’aigua del mar i el vent i algunes d’elles tenen formes curioses, com «The Queen’s Head» que és un dels icones de Taiwan (juntament amb el Taipei 101).  La foto d’aquí sota és agafada d’internet, ja que per fer la foto a la predra calia fer una bona cua!

One of the most famous and highly recommended places around Taipei is Yehliu, mainly known for its Geopark.

When Anna parents came to Taipei we tried to reach the Geopark as part of a wider excursion around the northern coast… but we got lost on the way and we arrived too late to visit the park.  We wanted to «fix» that so we checked how to get to the Geopark directly from Taipei. Indeed it could not be easier as there are direct buses (Kuo Kuang) that leave from exit 1 at Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station.

At the Geopark you will enjoy a number of rock formations created by the sea water, salt and the wind. The most well-known is the «The Queen’s Head», an iconic image in Taiwan. The picture here below is from internet, as there was a rather long queue to take the picture to the rock! (and we did not want to queue for that)
