Bon any nou xinès!

El 14 de Febrer entrarem al any nou xinès, que serà l’any del Tigre.

Aquesta festivitat és la més important de l’any per a la cultura xinesa i es pot fer una equivalència més o menys correcte amb el nadal. Són dies de vacances i la gent torna al seu lloc d’origen per visitar els familiars (per tant hi ha un caos important per tot arreu). Hi ha decoracions, menjars i ceremònies tradicionals que els Taiwanesos segueixen amb devoció.

Les comunitats xineses d’arreu del món també ho celebren, com podeu veure en aquesta notícia de la Vanguardia.

Amb l’Anna vam visitar un mercat tradicional de cap d’any (una mena de Santa Llucia) a Tihua Street. Apart de tastar molts menjars (donen mostres gratis), vam comprar alguna decoració (uns peixos) i sobres vermells (hong bao).

El total de les celebracions duren cap a un mes. Mirarem d’anar al «Lantern Festival» i a alguna altre. Ja ho anirem explicant.

Al no tenir familiars per anar a visitar, l’Anna i jo marxem al Japó durant una setmana a veure el Ricard i l’Asako! (i per anar a skiar una mica també). Ja posarem algún post des d’allà! :)

The Chinese New Year is the most important festival on the Chinese culture and you can compare it with the Western Christmas at some extend. There is a period of holidays, people return home (organizing a huge chaos) and there are traditional decorations, meals and celebrations to be followed.

Chinese communities around the world also join the celebration, as you can see on this information from la Vanguardia (Spanish newspaper).

Anna and I visited a traditional Chinese New Year market at Tihua Street. Apart from sampling a lot of food (free samples are offered), we bought some decoration (a figure of two fishes) and couple of red envelopes (hong bao)

The Chinese New Year celebrations will last for 1 month. We will try to join at least the «Lantern Festival» and some others. We will keep posting about it.

As we have no relatives to visit here, we are going to Japan for a week to visit Ricard and l’Asako! (and to go skiing also!). We will also post from Japan, no worries :)
