Tot va comen\u00e7ar amb els taxis per\u00f2 ara hi ha molts cotxes particulars que tamb\u00e9 porten aquestes c\u00e0meres instal\u00b7lades. Qu\u00e8 \u00e9s doncs una \u00abcamera amb caixa negra\u00bb? Simplement impressionant. <\/p>\n<p>Hi ha molta varietat de models i preus. Podeu donar un cop d&#8217;ull <a href=\"http:\/\/shopping.pchome.com.tw\/?mod=store&#038;func=style_show&#038;SR_NO=DGBK13\" target=\"_blank\">a aquesta web<\/a> de Taiwan. No crec que faci massa falta a Taiwan per\u00f2 de ben segur pot ser \u00fatil a altres parts del m\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Vigilar com condueix el taxista i els cotxes del seu voltant. Qualsevol pot trobar-se involucrat en un accident i tenir una gravaci\u00f3 del qu\u00e8 ha passat pot ser molt \u00fatil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El major problema \u00e9s la privacitat, en especial quan es grava a l&#8217;interior del vehicle. Encara no he vist cap taxi que indiqui (amb alguna engaxina o av\u00eds) que a l&#8217;interior s&#8217;est\u00e0 gravant. Suposo que \u00e9s q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de temps fins que alg\u00fa es queixi prou.<\/p>\n<p>Un efecte col\u00b7lateral de totes aquestes c\u00e0meres \u00e9s que els canals de not\u00edcies van plens d&#8217;exemples de mala conducci\u00f3 i accidents. Els resulta molt f\u00e0cil tenir imatges de quasi qualsevol cosa ja que sempre hi ha alguna c\u00e0mera pels voltants. Aquesta \u00e9s una difer\u00e8ncia cultural molt important amb occident: en general dins la cultura xinesa tu nom\u00e9s et preocupes de la gent del teu cercle (familiars i amics), la resta de la gent (aquells a qui no coneixes) es poden ignorar per complet (mentre no et molestin a tu mateix o la gent del teu cercle)<\/li>\n<li>Un segon punt important \u00e9s que a Taiwan s&#8217;ha d&#8217;esperar que arribi la policia al lloc dels fets i no es pot tocar res (a Espanya normalment apartem el cotxe per deixar passar el tr\u00e0nsit)<\/li>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"????????????? ???.?????????\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8WzslC0E9X4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!--:--><!--:en-->Although Taiwan is an extremely safe country (specially when compared to some areas of Barcelona), they have an obsession with security (fences, blocked windows, etc.) and security cameras in particular (EVERYWHERE).<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/security_taipei.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Security Taipei\" width=\"613\" height=\"307\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/security_taipei.jpg 613w, https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/security_taipei-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The latest addition to the mix is the so called \u00abblack box\u00bb camera or DVR for cars. It all started with the taxis and now you can see and more regular cars mounting a camera on the dashboard. What is this \u00abblack box\u00bb camera then? Something like that:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/camera_overview.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"camera_overview\" width=\"629\" height=\"392\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2832\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/camera_overview.jpg 629w, https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/camera_overview-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 629px) 100vw, 629px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The most advanced models feature double camera (outside and inside), a very wide angle (up to 140\u00ba), recording on SD cards, night vision, HD video, built-in GPS and specialized software for the PC. Just amazing stuff. <\/p>\n<p>If you want to have an idea of the number of the available models you can check <a href=\"http:\/\/shopping.pchome.com.tw\/?mod=store&#038;func=style_show&#038;SR_NO=DGBK13\" target=\"_blank\">this website<\/a> in Taiwan. Prices starting around 25 EUR (1000 TWD)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/offer.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Offer in Taiwan\" width=\"630\" height=\"403\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2836\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/offer.jpg 630w, https:\/\/nomadscatalans.net\/fetataiwan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/offer-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; what are these cameras for? <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protect drivers, prevent robberies and monitor passengers behavior. I doubt this is needed in Taiwan but very useful in other parts of the world<\/li>\n<li>Monitor taxi driver and other drivers behavior. Taxi drivers can be involved in accidents or almost accidents. Recording everything makes it a lot clearer what happened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The major concern is obviously about privacy, specially when the inside of the vehicle is recorded. I have not seen any sign on the taxis indicating if they are recording the passengers but I assume this is just a matter of time (basically until someone complains hard enough about it).<\/p>\n<p>A side effect of all these cameras is that the news channels in Taiwan are now full of bad\/dangerous driving behaviors or even accidents as they have footage for almost everything (there is always a camera nearby).
