Primera sortida cap a la platja. Els caps de setmana ja comencem a tenir ganes de sortir de la ciutat i prendre una mica l’aire fresc de la muntanya o el mar. Aix\u00ed que vam anar a fer el \u00abdominguero\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Aprofitant que hi havia un festival de figures de sorra<\/a>, vam anar a Fulong<\/a>, una de les platges m\u00e9s a prop de Taipei, a una o dues hores en tren (depenent quin tren s’agafi!). Tot i que tamb\u00e9 vol\u00edem escapar del mal temps, no vam tenir tanta sort. La pluja i el vent no acompanyaven per banyar-se o estirar-se a la sorra.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

El lloc no t\u00e9 cap m\u00e9s encant que la platja, que tot s’ha de dir, est\u00e0 just al costat d’una central nuclear. Per entrar-hi s’ha de pagar entrada, per\u00f2 s\u00f3n preus raonables. Tamb\u00e9 es pot anar en canoa o llogar material per fer windsurf o surf.<\/p>\n

El festival dura quasi un mes i s’hi poden veure figures de fins a dos metres d’al\u00e7ada! Res a veure amb els que posen el plateret a la Barceloneta! N’hi ha de totes mides i estils, unes m\u00e9s professionals que altres i de tem\u00e0tiques prou variades com estranyes. Fins i tot vam trobar una dedicada a Barcelona :)<\/p>\n

A m\u00e9s tamb\u00e9 hi ha zones adaptades perqu\u00e8 els visitants, b\u00e0sicaments els nens, puguin posar en pr\u00e0ctica les seves habilitats, en angl\u00e8s es diu DIY (Do it yourself)<\/a>. En alguns casos, els pares s’ho pasaven millor que els nens!\"\"<\/p>\n

El poble \u00e9s nom\u00e9s un carrer que conecta l’estaci\u00f3 de tren amb l’entrada de la platja i evidentment, hi ha paradetes per menjar! Els taiwanesos no poden passar sense menjar, aix\u00ed que all\u00e0 on vagis hi haur\u00e0 alguna cosa per picar i alguna especialitat de la localitat. A m\u00e9s, en cada estaci\u00f3 de tren tenen la seva propia especialitat de \u00abcaixes de menjar\u00bb, que vindria a ser el nostre \u00abtupper ware\u00bb per\u00f2 que el pots comprar a tot arreu per menys de dos euros! Evidentment vam acabar menjant l’especialitat local<\/p>\n

I un cop dinats\/berenats cap a Taipei de tornada<\/p>\n

First time to go to the beach! We are in the mood to explore outside Taipei during weekends to enjoy some fresh air from nearby mountains or the sea. Let’s be a weekend tourist.<\/p>\n

As we read that there was a sand sculptures exhibition<\/a>, we headed towards Fulong<\/a>, one of the Taipei closest beach areas, taking from one to hours by train (take the express one!). We failed to escape from Taipei bad weather, as in Fulong we had rain and wind that prevented people from taking a bath or just lying on the beach.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Other than the beach there is not much to see (you can rent bikes and probably reach interesting places). Fulong beach is next to a nuclear plant… It is a private beach so you must pay to get into the beach, but the ticket is inexpensive. It is possible to rent canoes, surf and windsurf equipment.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Fulong festival lasts for around one month and the sand sculptures are really impressive! Nothing to do with the small ones presented at Barceloneta beach ;) There is a wide range of styles and sizes. There was even one dedicated to Barcelona! Check the pictures :)<\/p>\n

There wer also DIY (Do it yourself)<\/a> areas for kids and their parents. In many cases parents were having more fun than the kids!<\/p>\n

Fulong town is basically one street that links the train station with the beach, as anywhere in Taiwan, it is full of food stalls. Taiwanese people really love to eat, and anywhere you go there is a local dish that can not be enjoyed anywhere else, so it is a must to eat it. At train stations there is the tradition of selling lunch boxes (similar to Japanese Bento Box or Spanish tupper ware lunch). Funlong lunch box is very famous so our lunch was just it (for less than 2 euros!) Yummy!<\/p>\n

Once we were full we headed back to Taipei<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
